Images from LCA Open 2025

The LCA Launch Open 2025 brought together chess players of all ages at Northern Academy Primary School in Polokwane on September 27, 2025. Players competed across five rounds with a time control of 30 minutes plus 30 seconds increment. Originally planned as separate sections, Sections A and B were combined due to lower participation numbers, with prizes totaling R3,300 including a top prize of R2,000. For junior players, this tournament served as the final opportunity to qualify for the Limpopo Junior Trials scheduled for October 18. The Juniors Section offered R500 for first place, R300 for second, along with trophies and medals for the top three finishers. Results from the tournament can be viewed on the Tournaments page.
